Chelsea’s Cole Palmer says he’s actually jealous of £54m Arsenal target’s pace

Cole Palmer is one of the very best footballers in the Premier League right now.

The Chelsea star has so much to his game. He’s a great creator, he’s a fantastic goalscorer, and his ability to control a ball is unlike anything we’ve seen at Stamford Bridge for a while.

However, there’s always room to improve, and speaking to Goal, Palmer has been discussing which areas of other players’ games he’d like to adopt.

Palmer says that he’d like to take Harry Kane’s finishing ability and Bukayo Saka’s strength, but, interestingly, he also said that he would like to be as fast as Leroy Sane.

Palmer worked with Sane briefly during his time at Manchester City, and he says that he’s always been a bit jealous of the German’s pace.

Interestingly, Palmer’s comments come amid rumours Arsenal want to sign Leroy Sane.

Cole Palmer says he’d love to have Leroy Sane’s pace

Palmer spoke about his former City teammate, claiming that he’d love to be as quick as the winger.

“Leroy Sane?” Palmer was asked.

“His pace,” Palmer said.

Leroy Sane could return to the Premier League

Sane was excellent for Manchester City last time he played in England, and a Premier League return could be on the cards this summer.

Indeed, Arsenal have been credited with a strong interest in Sane.

Sane was recently made to train alone at Bayern Munich.

Fabrizio Romano says that Arsenal still want to sign a new winger, and if Sane is available, this is a move that could be on the cards.

As Palmer says, Sane’s best attribute is his pace, but he also has so much more about him.

The German is also a lethal finisher, and as a former Pep Guardiola player, he would have no problem adapting to Mikel Arteta’s style of play.

This could be a very clever signing if Arsenal manage to get this one done.
