Chelsea’s plan to beat Arsenal to Jamie Gittens using Carney Chukwuemeka

According to a report from , Chelsea plan to tempt the 20-year-old by doubling his current wages along with a lucrative contract.

The Blues are reportedly ready to hand him a contract running until 2030.

Moreover, Todd Boehly is believed to have one more trick up his sleeve to help sweeten the deal with Dortmund.

Chelsea’s young winger Carney Chukwuemeka, currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund, is said to have made a strong impression during his time in Germany.

Fabrizio Romano reported on X last month that Dortmund are keen to keep Chukwuemeka beyond his current loan spell, with talks set to take place with Chelsea.

There is also an option for Dortmund to sign him permanently for a fee in the region of £25 million, contingent on the club qualifying for the Champions League.

Considering Dortmund’s strong interest in signing Chukwuemeka, Chelsea could potentially use their youngster as part of a player-plus-cash deal to get the edge over the likes of Arsenal and secure the signing of Gittens.

Such a deal could give the Blues the edge they need to outmanoeuvre their rivals and land the highly rated winger.
