Chelsea told they have a ‘maverick’ on their hands who plays exactly like former England international Chris Waddle
Chelsea are going along nicely under Enzo Maresca and the onlooking pundits are salivating over a couple of their players at the moment.
Maresca is very much getting a tune out of the Ch🐽elsea squad after taking some big decisions ꧅in the summer and trimming the fat of an inflated squad.
As it stands, they’re in ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚthe title picture and their win over Brentford left them just two points behind Liverpool.
Of course, for Chelsea to do well, their top players need to do well. And it’s safe to say that this season, Cole Palmer is very much delivering.
Palmer has 🦩scored 11 goals and provided another six assists this season already and after seeing him v Brentford – despite not adding to those tallies – the England man impressed Don Hutchison.

Cole Palmer told he plays just like Chris Waddle as Chelsea beat Brentford
Speaking about the performance of Palmer for , former Everton midfielder Hutchison spoke of how enjoyable he is to wat✱ch, even when not at his best.
“What a touch from Cole Palmer just on the edge of the box, a tiny little flick into ꦛthe path of Enzo Fernandez,” Hutchis♕on said.
“It’s not been his best game tonight but ⛦he’s some player to watch, som🍬e talent. Just a maverick isn’t he, he reminds me of Chris Waddle.”
Palmer praise is becoming a regular occurrence
It’s almo💯st hard to come up with something new to say about Cole Palmer, such is his brilliance.
Joe Coওle recently said Palmer was on another level to everyone else at the club, while club legend Gianfranco Zola has hailed Palmer’s development.
Still, the comment here about Chris Waddle is a nice touch from Hutchꦅison. Those of a younger age may not remember Waddle too much but he was very much a maverick, as Palmer is described here.
Palmer is arguably a more talented and𓆏 impactful player than Waddle in terms of goals and assists but still, the former Sheffield Wednesday and Marseille man had a superb care𓂃er.
Palmer, then, is very much on his way to making his own m𓆏ark in♍ the game.
