Chelsea: Southampton forward linked; £40million bid for Gomes; Costa latest
Roman Abramovich and his team have not been afraid to splash the cash since the Russian’s takeover, and that could continue this summer as claims that they have had a £40 million bid rejected for Portuguese creative midfielder Andre Gomes.
Competition is stiff, with both Real Madrid and Barcelona fighting it out for the Valencia star, but Gary Neville’s former club are supposedly expecting a £55 million offer before allowing any club to talk to Gomes. Such an addition would add creativity to a very tough midfield at Stamford Bridge, which would help in their hunt to return to the Champions League and the title race at the first time of asking.
Chelsea are edging closer to their first defensive signing of the summer if is correct. They claim that Kalidou Koulibaly could be set to choose Chelsea over London rivals Arsenal in their hunt for the 25-year-old Senegalese defender.

Therefore, any bid for Morata is likely to be a big money bid which could see him head to one of the giants of European football.
After scoring three goals in four games at Euro 2016, Arsene Wenger is also believed to be keen on the striker, with both expecting that they could tempt Real Madrid with an offer close to £40 million, as opposed to the £52 million they are rumoured to be holding out for.
Elsewhere, of a potential outgoing could see youngster Jeremie Boga head out to Spanish club Granada on a two year loan deal as the club persists with its loan policy of sending out youngsters to gain first team experience.
