Chelsea round-up: Manchester City star considers future; boost in Morata chase; target denies speculation

The  claim that Sergio Aguero is preparing to tell Manchester City that he wishes to leave the club as he feels that it has been made clear to him that Pep Guardiola’s style of play does not suit him and, with Gabriel Jesus in fine form since making his debut and taking Aguero’s place, a move away could be best for the Argentinean.

The former Atletico Madrid man is bound to attract attention from most of the world’s biggest clubs given his prolific form in the Premier League since moving to Manchester City, with Chelsea likely to be one of the many keeping an eye on him.

An alternative target in their search for a striker could be Alvaro Morata, as Spanish newspaper  say that they believe that the Spaniard’s future at the Bernabeu could be in doubt with Karim Benzema set to be given a new contract with a renewed sense of confidence that he is the man to lead the line at Real Madrid.

Morata has been strongly linked with a move to London where he could re-unite with his former boss at Juventus, Antonio Conte. The Italian could now prioritise a move for the man he took to Turin should Diego Costa move on in the summer.

However, one reported target has denied speculation that he gave an interview claiming he would be interested in a move to Chelsea as he :

“I said nothing about Chelsea in the press and didn’t talk to any Turkish journalist – neither about the court decision nor about my future.”

The Turkish winger is currently suspended for four months after a row over a breach of contract when he moved to Bayer Leverkusen, and he is currently serving the sentence for the rest of the season.
