Chelsea round-up: Lukaku contract update; Mourinho hits back at abuse; West Brom consider Terry move
Romelu Lukaku has told Everton that he has no plans to agree a new contract with the Toffees according to . The 23-year-old has scored 20 goals in 29 games so far this season to be one of the most prolific strikers in England, continuing his form of the past three seasons at Goodison Park. Now, West Brom manager Tony Pulis has revealed that they are interested in the ex-England captain as the quote him as saying:
“In January he wanted to stay with Chelsea. He wanted to stay there and be part of going out as a champion. I’m not sure how many times he’s won it with them but John wanted to stay there. If he becomes available in the summer, we’ll sit down and have a little think about what we’ve got and what we haven’t got and we’ll take it from there. Whether the situation changes, whether other people are involved or whether he signs another contract at Chelsea, we’ll have to wait and see.”
Terry has not made a Premier League start since September with his only three appearances of 2017 coming in the FA Cup, despite not featuring on Monday night against Manchester United, and looks likely to leave when his contract expires in the summer.
