Chelsea now interested in signing ‘outstanding’ Tottenham youngster who Ange Postecoglou loves

Chelsea are now said to be interested in signing a Tottenham Hotspur youngster who has already been impressing in pre-season under Ange Postecoglou.

After Saturday’s 3-2 win against Vissel Kobe, Spurs are now three from three in pre-season and are showing evidence how far they’ve come a year into Postecoglou’s stay.

That being said, Enzo Maresca is yet to earn his first win as Chelsea boss having failed to beat Wrexham and Celtic in pre-season thus far.

And whilst that’s no big concern for now, the Chelsea manager will want to gain some confidence from the weeks to come before the Premier League kicks off.

Chelsea still have four more pre-season friendlies scheduled, with Tottenham now set to face a K-League XI in their next test.

That being said, are now reporting that Chelsea are interested in signing young Tottenham star Mikey Moore, a 16-year-old who seemingly has the world at his feet.

The report was published in Sunday’s printed publication (28/07, page 70), stating that Borussia Dortmund have also been monitoring the situation.

Tottenham are confident they can keep Mikey Moore amid Chelsea interest

Fortunately for Spurs fans who watched Moore score the winner against Vissel Kobe, the report states that the north London club are ‘increasingly confident’ of keeping Moore.

Given he’s still 16, Moore can’t sign his first professional contract until he turns 17 on August 11.

But Tottenham are convinced that Moore has every intention to stay – a player who Postecoglou intends to use more frequently in the first team this season.

And to that end, TBR Football recently shared that Moore had verbally agreed a new contract with Tottenham.

Postecoglou is said to be super excited about Moore, a talent who is evidently ready to play in Tottenham’s first team.

And perhaps Spurs fans could see ‘outstanding‘ Moore line up alongside both Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall in cup competitions this season.

That being said, Gray has been incredibly impressed with a different Tottenham player in recent weeks, one of the side’s elder statesmen.

It’s all very positive for Tottenham right now, but their supporters will be very keen for the club to swiftly add further new signings.
