Chelsea man says Arsenal have a star he always knew would be ‘a top player’
Reece James that he has always been aware that Emile Smith Rowe is a top player, and suggested that the Arsenal star has more than deserved his England call-up.
Smith Rowe was added to Gareth Southgate’s squad on Monday. It came after he had initially been included with the under-21s.

His initial omission prompted plenty to ask why the 21-year-old had missed out. He has scored four Premier League goals already this season.
Arsenal have won every single one of the games Smith Rowe has scored in this term. That included the opener in the North London derby victory, as well as Sunday’s winner in the clash with Watford at the Emirates.
And with Marcus Rashford and James Ward Prowse withdrawing, Smith Rowe has now received that debut call-up for the Three Lions.

Understandably, plenty of Arsenal fans were delighted with the news. And it appears that some of his new teammates are also extremely pleased to see Smith Rowe involved.
James suggested that it was always a matter of time until the Arsenal attacking midfielder was handed that opportunity.
“I’ve always known he was a top player, he came to Chelsea when he was quite young, I remember playing with him and against him,” .
“This season, he’s shown how good he is and why he’s been selected.”
Smith Rowe in with fantastic chance of making England debut
England are on the cusp of booking their ticket to next year’s World Cup. Three points from their next two games all but guarantees their place in Qatar.
And with one of those fixtures pitting them against San Marino, Southgate may well get a good opportunity to rotate.
With that, Smith Rowe must be in with a good chance of making his debut.
And clearly, James expects the starlet to have no problem making an impact on the international stage.
