Chelsea in talks to sell ‘world-class’ player to fellow Premier League side for £25m, personal terms agreed
TBR Football can exclusively confirm the latest around Djordje Petrovic as Bournemouth look to sign the Chelsea goalkeeper.
Bournemouth are on the lookout for a new first-choice player between the sticks after opting not to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea – he is now at Arsenal.
Meanwhile, the Blues are looking for new goalkeepers of their own after Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen failed to impress last term.
TBR Football can also confirm Petrovic’s stance towards a potential move for Bournemouth and how much Chelsea want for him.

Bournemouth in Chelsea talks as Djordje Petrovic agrees personal terms
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Bournemouth have agreed personal terms with Petrovic.
They are now close to finalising an agreement with Chelsea. The Blues are asking for £25million and the two clubs are in negotiations over a deal.
Newly-promoted Sunderland made a bid last week, but Petrovic has decided he wants to move to the south coast rather than the north east.
Bournemouth have been looking for a new number one since deciding against signing Kepa on a permanent deal following his season-long loan from Chelsea.
Petrovic himself enjoyed a brilliant campaign with Strasbourg, Chelsea’s sister club, last season.
Djordje Petrovic deemed ‘world-class’ by Strasbourg boss Liam Rosenior
Petrovic was one of Ligue 1’s best goalkeepers in 2024/25 as he helped Strasbourg mount an unlikely Champions League challenge.
His 10 clean sheets from 31 league appearances contributed to Strasbourg securing seventh place and qualifying for the Europa Conference League.
In January, Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior said Petrovic was “world-class” following his display against Lille.
“We have seen huge progress from Petro,” Rosenior told reporters. “He is a world-class goalkeeper. We see it every day and it is still paying off today.”
Chelsea reportedly paid New England Revolution an initial £12.5million plus a further £1.5million in add-ons for Petrovic, so the Blues are set for a decent profit.
