Chelsea fans say they’ve got another young star alongside Marc Guiu after Shamrock thrashing

Chelsea have made it a perfect six out of six in the Europa Conference League group stages after thrashing Shamrock Rovers on Thursday night.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca once again named a fairly youthful side in the competition, and they once again had too much for their opponents꧑ on the night.

Chelsea striker Marc Guiu opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and, though Shamrock restored parity through Markus Poom four minutes later, Guiu mad♎e it 2-1 on 34 minutes.

Kiernan Dews🍎bury-Hall added a third for Chelsea in the 40th minute before Guiu completed his hat-trick in first-half🎶 injury time.

Marc Cucurella added gloss to the scoreline just before the hou𒊎r with a goal worthy of a centre-forw🍌ard.

Josh Acheampong hailed by Chelsea fans for Shamrock Rovers display

Although Guiu was deservedly in the spotlight thanks to his hat-trick, numerouౠs Chelsea youngsters shone on the night.

Josh A🥃cheampong was one of those, his display earning plaudits f🅰rom the Stamford Bridge faithful.

Acheampong was frozen out at Chelsea for a few months due to stalling contract talks, but he has since penn�♏�ed a new deal with the Blues.

His new deal has also led to hisꦉ return to the fold, and he has been making the most of the opportunities presented to him on the pitch.

One fan wrote: “Acheampong is incredible. This is an el🗹ite ball carrying defender in the making.”

Another said: “I don’t even kno𒁃w who’s more better between Acheampong and TAA, this boy is ꦡgood man.”

One supporter backed him to become a regular starter, saying: “We gotta get Jo🦩sh Acheampong into the PL starting 11 asap man.”

Another wrote: “I may have been wrong in my initial assessment that Josh Acheampong would need a year or two to be readyౠ. The boy is ready now, he’s a special talent.”

And ꦏone said: “Don’t think I’ve ever seಞen a profile like Acheampong’s… 6’3 full back with insane ball carrying and 1v1 defending ability, such a unicorn.”

Acheampong took 110 touches of the ball and completed 85 of his 91 passes for a 93 p🔥ercent pass accuracy on the night.

The 18-year-old also won six of his seven ground duels and tr☂iumphed in both of his aerial duels.

In addition, Acheampong had a go at goal, though it was off target, and weighed in with three tacklᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚes.

Maresca told reporters at his pre-match press conference that Acheampong “really impressed” him in 🍸pre-season a𝕴nd that he can become “great” for Chelsea.

It’s clear to see that Acheampong has a huge future ahead of him, and it’ll🍸 be exciting to see how he continues to develop.
