Chelsea fans react as Newcastle linked with signing Michy Batshuayi
Newcastle United have reportedly joined West Ham United and Crystal Palace in the race to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi this summer – and Chelsea fans are desperate to see the Belgian leave Stamford Bridge.
Batshuayi, 26, is likely to leave Chelsea this summer as he finds himself third choice behind Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud. The west London side are also closing in on the addition of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
Belgium international Batshuayi has been on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace during his time at Chelsea – in which he has clocked up just 77 appearances since his move to the Blues in 2016.

Of those 77 outings, Batshuayi has only ever started 23 games. Newcastle are interested in the former Marseille and Standard Liege ace, but face competition from both West Ham and Palace.
The Toon currently boast Joelinton, Andy Carroll, Dwight Gayle and Yoshinori Muto up front – though three could depart this summer. Carroll is out of contract, while Muto and Gayle have failed to convince the Toon faithful.
Club-record signing Joelinton is likely to remain but the chances are that he will drop to the title of squad player, after scoring only one league goal all season. Chelsea fans are desperate for Newcastle to sign Batshuayi.
