Chelsea eyeing up ‘incredible’ £55m striker who’s been compared to Erling Haaland, he’s ‘extremely quick’

Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as the Blues continue their search for an attacking signing.

The Blues have struggled this January to bring in a top-quality forward to lead Mauricio Pochettino’s attack, with Chelsea still being linked with the likes of Victor Osimhen.

With just two weeks of the transfer window left to go, time is now running out for Chelsea to sign a striker, yet a new name has now emerged for the Blues.

, £55m-rated Slovenian international Sesko is now on Chelsea’s radar, with the 20-year-old attacker currently plying his trade in the Bundesliga with Leipzig.

A graduate of the Red Bull production line, Sesko has due to his immense physical frame and ruthless finishing in front of goal.

Praised by Chelsea’s former technical director Christopher Vivell as an ‘extremenly quick’ player, it’s easy to see why the Blues are now keeping tabs on Sesko, even if the finances for such a deal might be high.

Any attacker likened to Haaland is going to draw some attention from major European clubs, and Sesko appears to be doing just that for Chelsea.

Given how young the striker is, Sesko would fit nicely into Chelsea’s long-term vision under Todd Boehly, with Pochettino also an ideal manager for the Slovenian international to learn from.

However, given how much Leipzig want for Sesko, it could take Chelsea selling a player or two to finance the deal, with the Blues currently restricted by how much they can spend in the market.
