Chelsea are looking at new players this summer and could yet decide to enter the race for a player being heavily linked with Arsenal.
The Blues have got some wheeling and dealing to do over the summer and are expected to look at selling the like of Conor Gallagher to help with FFP.
However, that doesn’t mean they won’t be spending anything and they’re already looking at bringing in new players to help new manager, Enzo Maresca.

Of course, a new striker could be top of Maresca’s list given Chelsea’s problems in that position.
And according to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Blues could yet get involved in the bidding to sign RB Leipzig star, Benjamin Sesko.

Chelsea not ruled out of Benjamin Sesko race with Arsenal keen
Speaking for , journalist Jacobs has said that Sesko to Arsenal is far from done given the other clubs, including Chelsea, involved.
“Chelsea, I expect to be seriously in the Sesko conversation as well. And then PSG are going to have to decide whether or not they want to try for a Sesko player or a profile of his nature, whether they want to put a lot of their saved Mbappe money towards Victor Osimhen, or whether they want to enter the conversation for Rafael Leao,” Jacobs said.
“And this is what makes it so unpredictable, but also exciting heading into the window.
“There’s a lot of crossover in targets between many, many top clubs, because Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all looking for a similar kind of profile.
“And PSG have got a lot of money to spend because Kylian Mbappe has gone to Real Madrid.”
Chelsea’s interest in Sesko comes after reports suggested they won’t be paying the wages to sign Victor Osimhen as it stands.
Sesko race could go down to the wire
While it’s looked for a while that Arsenal might be the ones to get this one over the line, the more the days tick by, the more it looks like others could win out.
Benjamin Sesko is clearly an ‘‘ young forward and at around the £50m mark, the price point isn’t too high given his potential and position.
For Chelsea, he ticks the boxes of being a young player who can develop over a long period of time and become a top star at The Bridge.
This one, you feel, still has plenty of legs in it. In the end, it might come down to who can nail down a direct meeting with Sesko and convince him from there.
