Che Adams happy previous Leeds United transfer opportunity fell apart
Southampton forward Che Adams has been speaking about his decision to remain at the club amid interest from Leeds United last January.
the Whites were on the hunt for another frontman to help them secure promotion to the Premier League and Adams, who had impressed against Leeds for former club Birmingham City the season previous.
Leeds were hoping to sign Adams on loan until the end of the season, with the obligation to then buy him in a permanent move for a fee in the region of £20 million.
But the deal did not come to fruition, with Adams finding form at the Saints.

Speaking this week, the Saints forward has shared his happiness at that decision.
“It’s easy to get up and quit but I decided to stick at it,” he ‘That’s why I chose to play for this team because everyone has the right belief and is on the same path as me – so it was a great choice.”
Leeds eventually brought in Jean-Kevin Augustin to replace Eddie Nketiah at Elland Road but the Frenchman made next to no impact in West Yorkshire.
Not that it made a difference to Leeds, who still managed to win promotion to the Premier League.
But Leeds fans would undoubtedly have liked to have Adams in their team now. He is thriving for Southampton, who have looked like one of the potential surprise packages of the new season so far.
