Charlie Austin reacts to what he’s heard about Leeds star Kalvin Phillips
Charlie Austin has insisted on Twitter that he cannot agree with the idea of Leeds star Kalvin Phillips being dropped as England prepare for their Euro 2020 semi-final.
Phillips has been a revelation for many this summer. He was the man of the match in most people’s eyes in the opening win over Croatia.

And he has continued to shine alongside Declan Rice in midfield.
However, Gareth Southgate faces some tough decisions ahead of Wednesday’s semi-final with Denmark.

The Three Lions boss has made several changes throughout the tournament. And with Jack Grealish and Phil Foden playing no part against Ukraine, further changes may be on the cards.
, Phillips would be the player to miss out at Wembley.
But Austin – who lined up against Phillips while with West Brom – insisted that the 25-year-old Leeds star must keep his place.
Can’t agree with you this time can’t drop Kelvin Phillips the energy he puts into the team we need him out there as well as mount

Dropping Kalvin Phillips for Euro 2020 semi-final would be huge risk from England boss Southgate
It would be a real surprise if Southgate did drop Phillips. The Leeds man has been a stalwart for the England boss for a long time.
He has rarely missed a minute when available since making his international bow. His withdrawal halfway through the second-half against Ukraine signalled the first time he had been off the pitch in this tournament.
England appear to have found something special in Rice and Phillips playing together.
Splitting them up for the first time this summer at such a crucial moment surely makes little sense.
