Charlie Adam suggests Mauricio Pochettino as a potential replacement for Celtic boss

That is in terms of stature and when it comes to finances. Before he was sacked by Tottenham, the Argentine gaffer was earning a huge £165,000 a week (). That kind of figure is far beyond Celtic’s wage structure, and expenditure.

While he is out of a job, Pochettino is likely to take one of Europe’s biggest clubs. The likes of Manchester United, PSG, Real Madrid and Inter Milan have all been linked over the course of the past 12 months. For Celtic, it would be a step too far.
