Charlie Adam has named Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor as a real standout player at Ibrox this season.
McGregor, who earns £13,000-a-week (), is part of a Gers squad that are charging towards the Scottish Premiership title.
Aged 39, the veteran shot-stopper is showing no signs of his age and is still performing at a top level in each week.
Steven Gerrard’s men are 18 points clear in the league, plus they are also in the Europa League knockout rounds.
McGregor has been a colossus in goal for Rangers this season, keeping 17 clean sheets in 28 games across all competitions.
The 42-time capped Scotland international has made some incredible reflex saves at times and been a trademark top goalkeeper, someone who is busy during the majority of a game but can then pop up to be the match-winner.
Adam has given a glowing verdict on McGregor’s contribution to Rangers this campaign:
“I think he’s been phenomenal at 39 years of age,”
“I think you could say his performances have got better every year and he’s using the experience, like Steven Davis, they’ve won the championship before and it’ll go a long way to get this Rangers team over the line [for the title].”

TBR’s View:
If Rangers are to clinch the league title as expected, then the entire defence deserves immense credit for their efforts and they’ve laid the cornerstone for the team’s success.
McGregor is such a reliable figure in the team’s backline whenever he plays and it’s remarkable that he’s still able to perform at such a level.
