Charlie Adam believes Rangers should sell Alfredo Morelos for as low as £8 million
One of Rangers boss Steven Gerrard’s biggest issues this summer will be what to do with Alfredo Morelos.
The Ibrox super striker scored 29 goals last season but that sort of form has caught the eye of several clubs from France, Italy and England.
Morelos tempered his ill-discipline last season to become a more trusted member of the Rangers set-up.
However, one former Rangers player and Steven Gerrard team-mate believes that Rangers should get rid of Morelos.
Charlie Adam, who started his professional career at Ibrox, believes that Rangers should sell the Colombian and suggests a rather low asking price that the Light Blues should be requesting.
“I’d get rid of him,” Adam. “If the money came for him, I’d get rid of him now. I think anything between £8 to £12 million you’ve got to take it. You’re not going to get £15 million, you’re not going to get £20 million so anything between £8 and £12 million you’ve got to take and move on.
“He is their best player but you have got to remember the market they are in at the moment. Or you just bite the bullet and go with it again.
“He scores goals, but it’s the other side of the game you’ve got to worry about.”

Previous reports have suggested that Rangers will be looking for a fee in the region of £20 million.
suggests that Rangers have rejected a £13.7 million offer from Lille so it would appear that Adam’s valuation is far off regarding what Rangers expect to receive if selling the striker.
Rangers would have a huge task on their hands replacing Morelos if they did decide to accept an offer for the Colombian.
No doubt, there is an offer Rangers will consider impossible to turn down. But at Adam’s £8-£12 million price-tag, it would be a huge shock if Rangers sanctioned a sale.
