Arsenal are eyeing a summer deal for Riccardo Calafiori to get their summer window up and running.
As of yet, the Gunners have not made any signings on the back of pushing Manchester City for the Premier League title.
Mikel Arteta‘s side are poised for another season at the top end of the table but fans are yet to see any new additions come through the doors at the Emirates.
Arsenal have proven themselves to be the closest competition for Pep Guardiola♔‘s side but it seems additions are going to be needed to get over the final hurdle.
And, as it stands, 💟Arsenal are looking to get up and running in the window with the signing of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna.

Although it does look as if Arsenal are now all in on making Calafiori their first signing, there are still areas which Edu Gaspar will want to address over the coming weeks.

🌄Speaking on the , Arsenal reporter Charles Watts shared what he has been told about the Italy international.
🀅“It’s certainly an interesting move from Arsenal. I have to admit I wasn’t expecting the first significant deal of the transfer window to involve a defender,” he said.
⭕“It was always an area that they were looking to strengthen, but I was expecting them to strengthen in the forward areas first. But it does look like an exciting signing. I can’t claim to be an expert when it comes to Calafiori, I haven’t seen that much of him.
𝓀“But people I’ve spoken to who have seen lots of him are adamant he has everything needed to be an excellent capture.”

🧸Positive work has been done towards signing the 22-year-old, but the Gunners are still looking to finalise the agreement with Bologna.
༺Adding to his comments on the defender, Watts shared his understanding on the talks between the two clubs.
ꦜ“Arsenal’s attempts to sign Riccardo Calafiori are continuing and they hope to strike a deal with Bologna,” Watts said.
𒅌“At the time of writing this column, that has yet to happen. But the hope and expectation is that it could happen soon.
ﷺ“Talks are ongoing between the clubs over the final fee and how the deal will be structured. Calafiori is Arsenal’s priority when it comes to strengthening their defensive options and so they will push to reach an agreement, but you can never be sure until everything is signed and finalised.”
