‘Chances aren’t very high’: Sky journalist suggests West Ham will fail to sign ‘outstanding’ player this summer
West Ham United have been heavily linked with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic in recent days. But this summer.
The Hammers have been busy adding to Moyes’ squad in the window as they’ve signed three players already and are seemingly working on signing the 29-year-old Frankfurt man.
The ‘outstanding’ Kostic has reportedly been offered a new contract by Eintracht Frankfurt but Moyes will be hoping the club can convince him to move to East London.

Sky journalist suggests West Ham won’t sign Kostic
because the club aren’t playing Champions League football this season.
“This Kostic case is for a long-term now since months and everybody says that Kostic will leave Eintracht,” he said.
“But in the moment, I think Kostic will not go to West Ham because Eintracht plays next year in the Champions League which West Ham aren’t.
“Ok, money is one thing. But on the other hand, he’s wanted to win trophies for a long time and he’s had relations with Inter Milan who wanted to sign him and it didn’t work out pretty well.”
The journalist did offer some hope for West Ham fans, however, as he said the club may have a chance if they offer a lot of money, despite Frankfurt aiming to keep the player.
He added: “So, I think the chances are not very high. But you know in the business, in the end money counts and if West Ham have enough money, then maybe there is a chance (for Kostic).
“But Eintracht are working hard to keep him. He is a key player.”

Having played against Kostic in the Europa League semi-final, Moyes will know exactly what the Serbian can offer. The Frankfurt wing-back was brilliant for the Bundesliga side during their European trophy-winning campaign, as we scored three goals and provided six assists.
West Ham move is now up to Kostic
Kohler’s update comes after and it’s now ‘up to the player’.
The Hammers are looking to tie up deals for both Kostic and Sassuolo’s Gianaluca Scamacca, who share the same agent.
West Ham will be hoping they can convince the player to join the club as he would provide star quality for Moyes and help push his side up to the next level.
The Serbian international would provide a great option for the Scotsman as either a wing-back or as a winger. If West Ham were able to complete deals for both Kostic and Scamacca, it would add much-needed depth to Moyes’ team ahead of the new season.
