Cesc Fabregas raves about ‘fantastic’ West Brom player
West Bromwich Albion defender Branislav Ivanovic has been praised by Cesc Fabregas, who named the “fantastic” Baggies man in his dream Chelsea and Arsenal XI.
Ivanovic joined West Brom last September on a free transfer, having left Zenit Saint Petersburg in July after a three-and-a-half-year stint.
Prior to his time in Russia, the 37-year-old had a glittering spell with Chelsea, where he played alongside Fabregas.

The Serbia international won three Premier League titles, three FA Cups, one League Cup, one Champions League and one Europa League.
Ivanovic arrived at The Hawthorns to much fanfare given his impressive CV, but sadly he’s struggled for much of the campaign.
He has made just 15 appearances all season, with 13 of those in the Premier League, and he has started just eight games in the top flight for the Baggies.
Despite failing to make an impact at West Brom, he’s remembered fondly by Fabregas, who named him in his XI alongside the likes of Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and John Terry.
“He was fantastic, he was a warrior,” the Spaniard told , as transcribed by .
“I was very impressed by him in my first year, with his personality. A proper warrior.
“I could have taken Bacary (Sagna) or Lauren as well but I will go with Ivanovic, he could player anywhere and he was a guy who delivers.”

There’s no doubting Ivanovic has enjoyed a superb career, hence being selected by Fabregas, but sadly his time at The Hawthorns hasn’t been a success.
His contract’s up at the end of the season and he’s almost certain to move on in wake of the club’s relegation.
