Celtic will wish they could have convinced Liverpool into giving them Harry Wilson
In the summer Celtic were being linked with a move for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson. The talented attacker had just enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Hull City, scoring seven goals in 14 games for the Tigers. Celtic were one of many clubs linked with the player. However, despite Brendan Rodgers history with the Merseyside club, Liverpool did not want to send Wilson to Parkhead.
, Liverpool did not want Wilson heading to Celtic. Firstly, the Bhoys could not match his loan fee and Liverpool were also wary that Wilson would not get the first-team football they hoped for if he headed to Glasgow.
They might have been right, considering the fact Celtic have the likes of Scott Sinclair, Callum McGregor and James Forrest already at the club.

However, Celtic will no doubt wish they could have convinced them otherwise.
Wilson did get a loan move in the summer. He headed to Derby County, where he would work under new boss Frank Lampard.
He has been in excellent form for the Rams. Wilson has three goals and two assists this season including a stunning strike against Manchester United in the EFL Cup.
In recent weeks he has also shown he is capable of playing in a more central role and has thrived, playing the full 90 minutes in Derby’s last three games. He was the key player as Derby tore West Brom apart in a 4-1 away win recently.
Celtic would no doubt love to have Wilson available to them this season.
