Report: Postecoglou wants Celtic to sign £60,000-a-week ‘Rolls Royce’ on season-long loan
Celtic have reportedly joined the race to sign Ben Davies, according to the .
The outlet claims new Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou has identified central defence, right-back and wingers as priority positions.
Celtic were seemingly close to signing the 25-year-old defender in the winter transfer.

However, Liverpool made a late move for Davies and ended up winning rhe race.
The former Preston man hasn’t seen much action at Anfield, however, and could now be on the move again.
Celtic are said to be one of several teams hoping to sign the -a-week man on loan.
The Hoops are apparently up against several English Championship sides including Bournemouth.
However, Liverpool would rather sell for a hefty profit, added the Mail.
“Outstanding young man”
Davies, a left-footed centre-back who can also play at left-back, is a product of Preston’s academy.
He enjoyed numerous loan spells in the EFL prior to breaking into the Lilywhites’ first-team on a regular basis during the 2017-18 season.

Davies clocked up 145 competitive appearances for Preston and earned plaudits aplenty at Deepdale.
“He’s an outstanding young man,” Preston CEO Peter Ridsdale told when he made the move.
“Down to earth, very professional. He’s looked like a Rolls Royce!
“When he was in the academy, I used to go and watch him play. He stood out and was by far the best player there.
“He then went out on loan, so he’s got a lot of games under his belt. He deserves his chance – he’s a very good player.”
