Mohamed Elyounoussi has revealed former Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong was pivotal in his move to Parkhead in the summer.
The Norway international has been a big hit for the Hoops since joining on a season-long loan from Southampton, scoring seven goals and providing six assists in 12 games.
His form has seen him become very popular with the Parkhead faithful, and there is already some clamour for the club to make his move permanent.
Elyounoussi, who recently scooped the Premiership Player of the Month award for October, has been speaking about his time at the club so far and shared how his switch came about.
He said (): “I spoke to Stuart, of course, as we’re teammates at Southampton and he was able to tell me things that I didn’t know about the club.
“He told me so many good things about Celtic. And it was perfect that he sat next to me in the Southampton training ground dressing room.”
Armstrong, of course, was a Celtic player for three-and-a-half years before joining the Saints for a reported £7 million () in the summer of 2018.

Elyounoussi’s start at Celtic has been nothing short of fantastic.
Having arrived after the start of the season, he has brought some much needed fresh impetus to the wide areas and is building a strong relationship with the fans.
The technically gifted ace has the potential to become a firm favourite, and fans should absolutely be extending their thanks to Armstrong, who clearly sold life at the club well.
