Celtic should join hunt for Swansea right-back Connor Roberts

Celtic certainly have a hole in the right-back position right now, as Mikael Lustig is seeing his form dip and teammate Cristian Gamboa has never reached top heights at Parkhead.

Manager Brendan Rodgers should have an eye out for a new full-back to eventually fill that void and that is why he should turn his attention to former club Swansea City.

, Swansea could lose their defender Connor Roberts at the end of the season when his contract expires, as the Welsh club don’t want to hand any big deals out at this stage of the campaign.

The report details that the 23-year-old has attracted interest from Premier League clubs, but Celtic should try jump to the front of the queue for him.

Roberts is a Wales international that has managed to break into Ryan Giggs’ side and is also a key player in the Championship for club team Swansea.

He is a right-sided flyer with brilliant pace and likes to bomb forward, which is why he can play in a more advanced wing role too if needed.

Celtic already have one adventurous full-back in the shape of Kieran Tierney in the left and Roberts could give the Scottish giants a new freshness on the right.
