Celtic have been linked with a move for Everton’s out-of-favour winger Yannick Bolasie. , the Bhoys are said to be interested in the DR Congo winger. French side Rennes and Turkish outfit Besiktas are also said to be keen on the 30-year-old, who turned down a move to Russia last week.
, Everton have no ‘ill-feeling’ toward the winger but have no plans for him this season and are ready to send him out on loan.
So should Celtic make a move for the player?
On the one hand, it must be tempting. Everton once paid big money for the attacker for a good reason. He even showed in glimpses during his loan spell at Anderlecht last season that he still might have plenty to offer.

However, Celtic should avoid a move for Bolasie.
Firstly, there is his injury record. Bolasie struggled to stay fit on a regular basis during his time at Everton. His form when fit has also dramatically dipped. He spent the first half of last season on loan at Aston Villa and certainly lacked the trademark pace that had once made him a potent threat at Crystal Palace.
Secondly, there is the wages issue.
Bolasie,, is said to be on £70,000-a-week at Everton and Celtic could simply not afford to hand him wages in the same area.
Celtic would be better off sticking by youngster Mikey Johnston or looking for another younger option then paying a fortune in wages on an injury-prone Bolasie.
