Celtic set for collision course with former boss Rodgers over bringing Roberts back
Celtic and Leicester City are both interested in a summer swoop for Manchester City midfielder Patrick Roberts,
They that because the Englishman’s contract is entering its final year, and Pep Guardiola’s side have rampaged forward and left him behind, he could be available for a bargain £4m this summer.
That would be a loss on the £11m the that City signed him for back in 2015 and it was at Parkhead where he played the best football of his career.
But Brendan Rodgers felt that the Premier League was a better stage than the pinnacle of Scottish football and it remains to be seen whether Roberts feels the same.

Roberts is coming off the back of a disappointing loan spell with City’s sister club Girona but Celtic’s supporters will likely harbour better memories of his 18-month loan spell from January 2016.
But the strength of feeling from Celtic – and the supporters – towards Brendan Rodgers for leaving them the way he did has not subsided.
And if, as it seems, Rodgers and Celtic are set for a collision course over Roberts this summer, it will mean more than just getting their man – it’ll be getting one over on Rodgers too.
