Celtic were defeated 2-0 by Cluj in the Europa League last night as the Romanian outfit joined them in the last 16.
Andrei Burca and Damjan Djokovic won the tie for the Romanians.
Neil Lennon used the contest to rest a few of his stars. Kristoffer Ajer and James Forrest both began the game on the bench, whilst Scott Robertson made his Celtic debut.
One man who earned a rare chance to impress was Scott Sinclair.

The 30-year-old has fallen well down the pecking order under Neil Lennon and looks on borrowed time.
His performance in Romania won’t have harnessed his chances of more football any time soon.
He was naturally laborious and looked well off the pace after spending most of the campaign out of action.
Sinclair has scored 62 goals and registered 34 assists during his time at the club but a change of scenery might be the best option during January.

Following the game Celtic fans were up in arms with the 30-year-old, slamming him for an abject performance.
Whilst most people appreciate what he has done during the Treble Treble-winning years, they do concede he’s not a patch of the player he once was.
Here is a selection of Tweets regarding Sinclair’s performance:
And let’s not talk about Scott Sinclair.
Another weak ghost.

That ladies and gentlemen is why Scott Sinclair can get nowhere near a place in the squad. Nothing to do with fall outs or anything, just an empty jersey.

I doubt we'll see Scott Sinclair in a Celtic strip again, tough gig to come in from the cold and expect to do much in a shadow side but he looked totally out of place, so predictable and despite his impressive new physique, looked weaker than ever when anyone made slight contact.

Scott Sinclair is done

Good to see Lennon got the decision not to include Scott Sinclair in his plans this season. Played like he was raging he was asked to travel tonight. Time to move on Scott.

Scott Sinclair is brutal these days

Pretty evident tonight that ‘he’s better than Morgan’ is not exactly a ringing endorsement for Scott Sinclair. Both well below the standard required and another wide player wouldnt go a miss in January!
