Parting message
Celtic fans took the opportunity at last night’s game with Hearts to let former manager Brendan Rodgers know exactly what they now think of him.
, and the fallout has continued throughout the week.

A banner was unveiled by supporters at Tynecastle which read: “You traded immortality for mediocrity. Never a Celt, always a fraud.” ().
Rodgers’ exit has been difficult to stomach given the way he had previously spoken about the club and its ambitions.
Leicester considered Lennon
Before Rodgers was appointed, Leicester spoke with Neil Lennon about him taking over on a caretaker basis, the 47-year-old has confirmed.
: “I spoke briefly to Jon Rudkin [Leicester’s director of football] and he said he was bearing me in mind if they were thinking of an interim manager.

“But it was only a five-minute chat with him and I think that already by that stage they wanted a permanent manager in.”
Lennon has now taken over from Rodgers at Parkhead on an interim basis and recorded his first victory over Hearts on Wednesday.
Trio targeted
Rodgers is supposedly eyeing up three Celtic players to sign this summer for Leicester.
, James Forrest and Callum McGregor are the latest names on the Northern Irishman’s shortlist, along with full-back Kieran Tierney.

It is certainly unsurprising to read such reports, but Celtic fans will be desperate not to see their top stars follow in the footsteps of their new public enemy number one.
