Celtic reportedly on the verge of signing a player who’s ‘very dangerous in front of goal’

Celtic are reportedly closing in on Liel Abada, a player who is “very dangerous in front of goal”.

According to the , the Hoops have agreed a deal of £3.4million for the Maccabi Petah Tikva attacker.

The outlet even claims Celtic could land Abada in the next 24 hours.

He’s the closest prospective signing ahead of Thursday’s Champions League qualifying transfer deadline, they added.

Abada is deemed one of Israel’s top talents and can play on the right wing or as a playmaker through the middle.

Capped once by Israel, the 19-year-old has apparently interested clubs in France and Belgium.

And former Rangers goalkeeper Boni Ginzburg, now a media pundit in Israel, thinks Celtic fans will love seeing Abada in green and white.

“I believe Liel would adapt to Scottish football,” he told the . “He is not a big guy, but he is strong.

“You have to consider that Celtic will normally be the dominant team in most games.

“Like Rangers, they always create a lot of chances against the opposition in Scotland.

“If that’s the case, Liel will score. He is very dangerous in front of goal.

“He is a good player and he has a lot of potential. It will be a good experience for him to go to Celtic.

“Personally, I would prefer that he was going to Rangers, but that’s not the case!

“I am just joking. He is a good player and he has the quality to do well at Celtic.”
