Celtic reportedly have bid rejected for striker Robbie Keane has high hopes for
Celtic have reportedly made an offer to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott on a season-long loan and Robbie Keane has predicted big things are to come from the Republic of Ireland international.
Parrott, 18, managed four appearances for Tottenham’s senior side during the past 12 months. He is regarded highly by Spurs fans and the club itself, though it is a shared belief that he needs game time to further his development.
that Celtic have seen a season-long loan offer rejected by the Tottenham starlet himself, with Parrott choosing to move to London-based Championship side Millwall instead.
Celtic are not alone. Bournemouth, Preston, Stoke and Swansea have all see offers rejected as per the report. Keane, who played for both Tottenham and Celtic during his illustrious career, is a huge fan of Parrott.
“He’s got a lot of potential. People at Tottenham love him. He’s a lovely lad, he’s got everything,” . “He definitely has the right temperament to be a top player.”

TBR’s view – Parrott would have been excellent for Celtic
With Odsonne Edouard expected to start but hardly going to play every single game, the Hoops need back-up. Leigh Griffiths has had his critics, while Vakoun Bayo and Patryk Klimala have made no impact since moving to Parkhead.
Bringing the Spurs teenager in on loan would have handed Celtic with a player that boasts enormous potential – and is ready to transform that potential into proven quality., something which he seems more than capable of doing.
As per Keane’s comments, he would have been a top signing for Celtic. A shame for the Scottish champions then, that Millwall look set to complete a move for Parrott.
