With all the transfer chatter surrounding possible exits from Celtic today, a social media post from UEFA this afternoon really hammered home just what the club are missing for the Champions League campaign.
The European governing body sent out this tweet today:
Now, regular readers will remember that I wrote a similar piece on Podence a few weeks ago where I said his domestic form for Olympiacos would make Celtic rue the day they never signed him. But now?
I’m guessing they will be fuming. Five goals in five appearances now for the Greek side show just how much Celtic could have been doing with a a href="//betvisa-cricket.com/52k-a-week-superman-has-just-joined-olympiacos-after-being-linked-with-celtic-this-summer/">Supermanin their squad.
Watching Celtic struggle to break down Hibs at the weekend was quite painful to watch. But to be fair to Brendan Rodgersside it is only the second time this season they have failed to score domestically.
With the fans now fully focused on the quality coming off the Celtic bench, Podence could have offered a better option than Mikey Johnston and James Forrest.

However, that moment has passed and Celtic move on. Rodgers must now look to the January window to see if he can unearth some real, genuine quality that can make an impact on the first team and not on the squad.
With the Celtic fans hoping that he brings in a striker to challenge Kyogo, a left-back and possibly a goalkeeper, Rodgers has his work cut out to get what he wants in a window that is notoriously difficult to get quality players in.
Celtic have the money, all they need to do is invest it and spend it wisely and let the manager get the players he wants to take this team forward. Easier said than done.
