Celtic outcast Scott Sinclair has sent a message to Neil Lennon on Instagram by reminding the Hoops manager that he is ready and waiting for a chance in the first team again – and John Terry has teased the attacker.
Sinclair, 30, joined Celtic in the summer of 2016 and played 160 times for the Scottish champions, scoring 60 goals and laid on an enormous 34 assists. But somewhat surprisingly, he has struggled for game time this season.
Celtic have been excellent with James Forrest and Mo Elyounoussi either side of striker Odsonne Edouard, but Sinclair has been afforded just six appearances for the Hoops. Indeed, all six of those have come from the substitutes’ bench.
Frozen out and failing to play since September 28, Sinclair posted a reminder to manager Lennon on Instagram which shows the attacker showing off his physique. Despite a lack of game time, Sinclair looks in excellent shape.
His comment, “no matter what the situation, I’m focused and ready” is clearly a message to Lennon in that he is ready to return to action whenever he is needed. He may be needed, with Celtic having 11 games from Saturday until the break.
John Terry, who played alongside Sinclair when the latter was a youngster at Chelsea, teased the Celtic outcast by urging the attacker not to “forget the legs”.
