Celtic have now launched £5m bid to sign ‘incredible’ player
Celtic have been hard at work in this summer’s transfer market with a flurry of new signings and some major outgoings.
The Hoops last week confirmed the departure of Matt O’Riley for £30m to Brighton 🔯& Hove Albion, setting a new Scottish record for the highest transfer fee ever received from a single deal.
With Celtic agreeing personal terms to sign Arne E෴ngels, Brendan Rodgers is already at work trying to bring in the last few pieces🧔 ahead of what is going to be a big season for the Glasgow giants✃.
And the Celtic Park side have now made their move to sign a form♑e👍r Premier League player.

Celtic launch £5m bid to sign Sheffield United’s Auston Trusty
According to Sky Sports News reporter Anthony Joseph, Celtic have made a bid worth £5m to sign Sheffield United defender Auston Trusty, with the Hoops in the mark🐷et for aꦦ new centre-back.
Joseph wrote: “Celtic have made a bid worth around £5m for Sheffield United centre-back Auston Trusty. Celtic are on the hunt for a CB before the deadline, after fringe players Yuki Ko🧸bayashi & Gustaf Lagerbielke left for Portimonense & FC Twente, respectively.”
Praised by former Birmingham City teammate Geo👍rge Friend as ‘incredible’ via , Trusty was a regular for Sheffield United last season in what turned out to be a disastrous Premier League campaign for the Blades.
However, Trusty has shown during his time in English football that he has the quality to impress at the back, a🦋nd Celtic could be an ideal next destination for the USA international if Sheffield United accep🐼t the Hoops’ offer.

Celtic could get the best out of Trusty at last
It’s easy to forget that the 26-year-old defender was once on the books at Arsenal, with Trusty the first player the Gunners signed from MLS affiliate club Coloღrado Rapids back in 2022.
And although the defender’s time at Sheffield United has not gone to plan, a change of scenery could be all it🌺 takes for Trusty to reach his true potential, with Celtic an ideal club for the Starsꦬ and Stripes defender.
Indeed, Trusty has 💜all the tools needed to become a top centre-back in the Scottish Premiership, and the defender could jump at the chance to join a club as big asꦅ Celtic this summer.
