Celtic forward Albian Ajeti sent good luck messages from Michail Antonio and Xherdan Shaqiri

Celtic’s new forward Albian Ajeti has received some good luck messages from teammates past and present on Instagram following his completed transfer to Parkhead.

The centre-forward joined Neil Lennon’s side for £4.5million () on Thursday on a four-year deal and has arrived from West Ham to add some extra firepower in attack.

He may have just endured a tough season at West Ham by scoring once in only 12 appearances, but previously showed his talent at FC Basel with 43 goals in only 96 games for the Swiss giants.

Ajeti received one response on from ex-teammate Michail Antonio, who has become the star forward at West Ham in recent months and saved them from Premier League relegation.

The Swiss striker also received a message from his international teammate Xherdan Shaqiri, who has picked up a league title at Liverpool.

TBR’s View:

Despite a quite 2019/20 campaign for Ajeti, it would be harsh to judge him solely off the last 12 months and quite frankly he wasn’t given enough opportunities in the side to pick up any momentum.

The striker has joined Scottish giants Celtic to try help them in pursuit of a 10th consecutive league title and there is a strong possibility of him linking up alongside Odsonne Edouard, who is the talisman in attack for them and a goal machine.

It would interesting to see how someone with pace and energy like Ajeti can work playing off Edouard, something that looks like it could be a dangerous pairing on paper.
