Celtic fans react to performance of James Forrest in Aberdeen victory

Celtic maintained their position at the summit of the Scottish Premiership with a 2-1 victory over Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

The Hoops still have a 12 point cushion on Rangers who beat Livingston later on Sunday afternoon.

Callum McGregor opened the scoring for Celtic after 10 minutes, although Ash Taylor pegged Neil Lennon’s men back with 27 minutes on the clock.

The Hoops were forced to wait until nine minutes from the end to seal the win, with Kristoffer Ajer firing beyond Joe Lewis from inside the penalty area.

Celtic star man James Forrest was in decent form and although he has divided opinion this season, his statistics still speak volumes.

The 28-year-old has netted 16 goals and registered 20 assists this season, including an assist at Pittodrie this afternoon.

Although he was relatively quiet, he was impactful when called upon and is still a massive player for the Hoops.

Despite his prolific form in the way of goals and assists, some Celtic fans have seen Forrest as being below-par this season.

That wasn’t the case after their latest win, however, and many supporters took to Twitter to praise their influential winger.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Celtic faithful regarding the performance of Forrest against Aberdeen.
