David Turnbull has posted a picture on Twitter in Motherwell’s new 2020-21 away kit, captioning the post “not too long now” until a return to football – and Celtic supporters have responded.#
Turnbull, 20, came within an inch of joining Celtic last summer after netting a whopping 16 goals from midfield for Stephen Robinson’s side – while also laying on seven assists. Everything had been agreed with Celtic.
However, the Scottish champions pulled out of a deal after a medical showed that the Scotland Under-21 international needed preventative surgery on his knee. It kept Turnbull sidelined until February.
But after just two Scottish Premiership outings, Turnbull has been forced to wait for football again due to the global health crisis. Scottish clubs can return to non-contact training on June 11, and Turnbull cannot wait.
Not too long now😄⚽️💛

Whether Celtic come back in for the midfielder remains to be seen. Given he has managed just two substitute appearances since his surgery, it may be that Celtic wait to see if his 2018-19 campaign was more than just a fluke.
Celtic supporters reacted to Turnbull’s Tweet, as he posted a picture in Motherwell’s new away jersey. Many Hoops fans claimed that the goalscoring midfielder would look better in green and white, ahead of a potential transfer.
Green and White stripes would suit you better lad 🇮🇪🍀🏴
