Celtic’s poor European away record continued last night with a 3-1 defeat against Red Bull Salzburg.
The match could not have started any better for Brendan Rodgers’ side, who have been struggling somewhat of late.
Odsonne Edouard was an injury doubt going into the game but was fit to start; and he put Celtic ahead after just two minutes.
That should have settled his side’s nerves and they did go in at the break 1-0 up.

Just past the hour mark, it was 2-1 to the hosts; Celtic yet again showing their inability to maintain a European away performance throughout the match.
Any hopes of getting into the game were dashed when James Forrest gave away a penalty and was red-carded; Moanes Dabour slotting home killed the game.
The decision was a controversial one – it certainly wasn’t a nailed on penalty. Yet it definitely killed off the match and we’ve taken a look at the fans’ reaction…
Harsh but ffs the defending has been criminal

A complete joke of a red card.

If it was at the other end I would’ve been screaming for a penalty tbh
