A n♕umber of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Josip Juranovic after the defender made his Hoops debut in Sunday’s Old Firm clash at Ibrox.
Ange Postecoglou tasted defeat in his first game against Rangers. Filip Helander scored the only goal in a very end-to-en♈d game.
Celt💟ic lacked that quality🉐 in the final third. But some of their players did do enough to impress – and one of those was Juranovic.
The Bhoys confirmed the arrival of the Croatia intern🗹ational earlier this week.
The 26-year-old has spent the large majority of his career to date playing as a right-back. But with Anthony Ralston proving to be a revelation at the start of this campaign, Juranovic was deployed on🐠 the left against Rangers.
𒈔And he went on to produce a superb performanc💎e against the champions.
Ralst🉐on was the only Celtic player to make a greaterꦿ number of successful tackles than Juranovic (). Meanwhile, only Carl Starfelt completed a higher number of accurate passes.
Admittedly, it was not a♏ flawless perf꧙ormance from the full-back.
There were times when Celtic were probably not ablꦓe to attack as quickly as they would like at times down their left. And th🐓at was sometimes down to Juranovic preferring to cut onto his stronger foot.
But plenty of the Celtic fans suggested that Juranovic was 💛on💫e of the only players to really step up.
