On a day Celtic paid tribute to Bertie Auld, it was Forrest who ensured that they reached yet another domestic final. The winger had initially started the game on the bench for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

The Hoops were poor for some of the game, particularly during the first-half. Forrest was brought on with just over 20 minutes remaining with Liel Abada not having the best day at the office.

And the change proved to be inspired. Forrest smashed home from around six yards to send the Celtic fans into a frenzy.

Of course, Forrest coming up with a massive goal when Celtic need him is not a rarity. He now has 96 strikes for the Bhoys – which, as it happens, is also the number of assists he has provided during his career.

And Celtic supporters are incredibly excited about what they are going to see from Forrest in the weeks and months ahead.
