A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on that the Hoops have made contact with Giorgos Giakoumakis.
The Bhoys have now won four games in a row in all competitions. And they appear to be on the right path under Ange Postecoglou.

Nevertheless, they seem to be remaining busy in the transfer market. And one of the players they hope to sign is Giakoumakis.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a bizarre year in the Eredivisie last season. He actually finished as the top goalscorer in the league, scoring 26 times.
However, his club, VVV-Venlo, were relegated. And that has opened the door for a potential exit worth around £2.5 million.

It appears that Celtic are working towards a possible deal. that Postecoglou has spoken to the Greece international personally.
Giakoumakis has reportedly been left impressed by the Celtic boss’ vision.
The news has attracted a mixed response on social media. Those who feel that a deal is possible seem extremely excited.
‘Looks the business’: Celtic fans react to Giakoumakis links
His record last season was outrageous.
But for others, they cannot see a deal happening unless Odsonne Edouard leaves in the final weeks of the window. And with the Frenchman looking good lately, some have a couple of concerns.
With that in mind, here is what some of the Bhoys fans make of the links with Giakoumakis…
Georgios Giakoumakis would be a very exciting transfer IF it were to happen.
However, unless we’ve departures in the striker department I just don’t see why we’d strengthen there when there’s higher areas of importance we still require additions.
Let’s see where it goes.

Scored 60% of VVV Venlo’s goals last season. Reliable from penalities, solid header of the ball and a wonderful first touch. Would take 100%.

If we get him this spells the end of the road for Griffiths at Celtic surely.

Looks the business 👌

Scored some cracking goals last season. Can’t see it unless Eduoard goes!

We won’t sign Giorgos Giakoumakis unless one of the strikers is leaving.

Georgios Giakoumakis being linked with us and I absolutely hope it happens. Won’t see many players score 26 league goals in 30 games for a team that get relegated

Do it
