Celtic fans react as Southampton eye Ryan Christie
A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on that Southampton want Ryan Christie.
Christie may well be on the move this summer. As noted in the report, his contract at Parkhead expires at the end of the calendar year.

And it appears that the Saints are interested in making him the latest Celtic player to swap the Scottish Premiership for St Mary’s.
that the Saints are planning to watch the 26-year-old in action with Scotland at Euro 2020.

What may not fill Southampton fans with confidence however, is how some of the Celtic supporters have reacted to the reports on social media.
On paper, Christie’s record this past season is extremely encouraging. He scored seven goals and provided 15 assists in all competitions.
However, he rarely looked as impressive as he had done in previous years. So that may explain why plenty of Celtic fans are in favour of a potential move.
Several have suggested that Christie would not be missed by the Bhoys next season.
‘More than welcome to this one’: Celtic fans not worried about Ryan Christie heading to Southampton
Admittedly, some believe that there is a lot more to come from Christie if Celtic get their next appointment right.
But it does seem that most would welcome the Saints managing to land the midfielder this summer – particularly if it paved the way for Mohamed Elyounoussi to move in the opposite direction.
Here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
They are more than welcome to this one.

Stuart Armstrong at least signed an extra year so we could get some decent cash for him. I’ll not miss Ryan Christie.

I do think it’ll be a case of not knowing what we’ve got until he’s gone. A very capable player who was misguided/misused by Lennon and co IMO. I’d love to see him under a good manager.
