Celtic are reportedly interested in luring Real Betis veteran Antonio Barragan to Parkhead this summer in order to ease their right-back woes – and Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter.
(page 82, 24/07) claimed Celtic are weighing up a move for 32-year-old Barragan, who has spent two seasons on these shores throughout his career.
He joined Liverpool in 2005 but only managed one appearance for the Reds, before returning to Spain. Then, 11 years after his first spell, he joined Middlesbrough but failed to help them remain in the Premier League.

Celtic are likely to be after a right-back this summer, after losing Mikael Lustig to Gent while Jeremy Toljan returned to Dortmund and has since joined Italian side Sassuolo. Even if Lustig remained, a new right-back was needed.
The Hoops have brought in Hatem Abd Elhamed this summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £1.6million, but it is clear Neil Lennon wants to sign another right-back despite the presence of Anthony Ralston.
Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter to Barragan being identified as the man Celtic want to sign this summer, after he entered the final 12 months of his Betis contract. Some believe he would be a good addition, whereas others are not so sure.

All of these seem odd and considering its media gossip, I wouldn't be surprised if they're filling column inches.
Widmer only 1 year into a contract, Gumny looks like a classic 'reignited interest' story that's usually mince, and Barragan is 32. Not exactly our usual MO.
