Celtic fans hail Ryan Christie’s performance in Scotland win

Ryan Christie scored in Scotland’s victory away to Cyprus on Saturday afternoon – and some Celtic fans on Twitter raved about the quality of his performance.

The Bhoys attacker netted the opening goal in a 2-1 victory in a European Championship qualifier.

Christie tucked away a brilliant individual goal in the first-half, as he bent a left-footed effort into the net from the edge of the box.

The attacking midfielder, who looked a threat against Cyprus as a right-winger, managed his first Scotland goal in his 10th senior cap.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s John McGinn ended up clinching three points with his winning strike, as the nation look to build up some momentum ahead of knockout play-offs.

A selection of Celtic supporters on social media picked out their playmaker Christie for his international efforts and feel he’s a class above.

He showed in Steve Clarke’s Scotland team what he has been doing on a regular basis for Celtic and why he’s considered one of the best at Parkhead right now.

The left-footed dazzler has scored 12 goals and supplied seven assists in 24 games across all competition this season for the Bhoys.

He’s really stepped his game up to another whole level since the appointment of Neil Lennon and has become such a consistent goalscorer.
