Since the turn of the year, Celtic have responded to the pressure put on them by Rangers in hugely impressive fashion and that continued against St Johnstone yesterday.
Brendan Rodgers’ side secured progression on the Scottish Cup with a comfortable 5-0 victory at Parkhead yesterday, which was the perfect way to prepare for the midweek engagement with Valencia.
Scott Sinclair was the pick of the bunch with a hat-trick to put the visitors to the sword and keep the momentum rolling ahead of the visit of the La Liga outfit on Thursday night.
Scott Brown and James Forrest added the other two goals as Rodgers’ men kept another clean sheet to maintain their imperious form and lay down yet another marker to the rest of Scottish football.

The Bhoys keep chuntering on, making chances, scoring goals as well as keeping it tight at the back and Sinclair has benefited from the addition of new attacking blood during last month’s transfer window, which has allowed him more space to torment defences.
And the supporters have reponded gleefully, hailing the Englishman’s performance yesterday and hoping for a repeat when Valencia come to town on Thursday…
Form is temporary class is permanent. Great player with a great attitude 👌

Great to see you back to your best Sinky. Some1 made a great point earlier. The intro of new goal threats in the team have taken the concentrated defence of doubling up on your game away and given you the freedom to destroy teams again. 💚
