Celtic fans discuss Scott Sinclair as winger scores stunning Preston goal
Scott Sinclair scored a stunning goal for Championship side Preston North End on Tuesday night as the second-tier outfit secured an excellent away win over recently-relegated Bournemouth – and Celtic fans have responded.
Though some way below legendary status at Celtic, 31-year-old Sinclair was regarded as a fan favourite during his time north of the border. The Chelsea academy product scored 62 goals and created 34 more in 167 games.
But the journeyman winger left Celtic in January 2020 having entered the final year of his contract – and struggling for game time under Neil Lennon. He has now netted nine goals in his 35 games for Preston.
The latest one is arguably the best. Picking up the ball on the counter attack, Sinclair saw Bournemouth stopper Asmir Begovic off his line and swung a right-footed effort into the top corner from 40 yards.

Celtic. meanwhile, are lacking in options out wide. Injuries to James Forrest and Mikey Johnston have left Lennon with just Mo Elyounoussi and Diego Laxalt as options – though the latter has been used on the left of the defence.
Celtic supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news that Sinclair starred for Preston and scored a stunning goal at the Vitality Stadium against Bournemouth – the club which sacked Celtic-linked Eddie Howe in the summer.
Frozen out by Lawwell and Lenny…imagine letting a 60 odd goal in 3 seasons winger leave.

He was a great servant and player but he offered very little his last season and a half it was time to move on
