Celtic cruised to a 3-0 victory on Wednesday afternoon as Neil Lennon’s side prepared for this weekend’s Old Firm clash by earning another win – and Hoops fans still praised Leigh Griffiths as he continues his resurgence at Celtic.
The Hoops have been somewhat improved in recent weeks and they continued such form on Wednesday afternoon. Ismaila Soro, a beneficiary of Celtic’s poor run of form, opened his Celtic account from long range.
His excellent strike was followed by another brilliant effort, this time from David Turnbull – who hopped past a Dundee United defender before lashing an effort past Celtic-linked goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist.

It was three in the second half as Griffiths – who cost the Hoops £1million () back in 2014 – slid in Odsonne Edouard to chip Dundee United’s Swiss goalkeeper. Griffiths went off after 80 minutes, and the score remained.
It was Scotland international Griffiths’ first assist of the season in the Scottish Premiership, in which he had previously netted four goals in seven outings. He certainly did his chances of starting against Rangers no harm.
Many agreed on Twitter, praising Griffiths among other players for his impact on Lennon’s side after returning to the starting line-up in a two-man attack alongside Edouard up front.
If Lennon had played Turnbull , Soro and Griffiths earlier in the season Celtic would still have a chance on 10 in a row.

Great first half from Celtic. What a huge difference Soro, Turnbull & Griffiths are having.

Finally seeing a bit of bite about Celtic griffiths and Edouard leaving a boot in and leads to a goal 👏🏼

The difference in Celtic since Soro, Turnbull and Griffiths came into the team is unbelievable.

Griffith's is probably the best finisher we have and him and Édouard are a good partnership. Not to mention we've played better recently with the team and formation.
