Report: Celtic want to land Northern Ireland teenager, Brighton keen too
Motherwell star David Turnbull is the subject of a £1.2 million bid from Glaswegian giants Celtic,
The 19-year-old claimed the Scottish Football Writers Young Player of the Year for 2018/19. His 16 goals in 34 appearances caught the eye and have offered hope of a bright future.
The Hoops won’t be the only interested party in the youngster’s services. Brighton are also looking at signing the Northern Irishman this summer.

Motherwell have already seen Jake Hastie leave for Rangers this summer and Turnbull’s departure would also be a sizeable blow.
Neil Lennon’s return to Celtic as the permanent boss is to be confirmed imminently and these reports would suggest he has been busy preparing transfer targets for months.
TBR Verdict
It’s fair to suggest that Turnbull fits in very nicely with the ethos at Celtic.
The Hoops have lots of talented youngsters emerging from their own ranks and the central midfielder will add to that quota.

Turnbull has been mightily impressive this season. With 16 goals in all competitions, he has proved himself to be a goalscoring midfielder with some serious potential.
Rangers might have won the day when it came to landing boy wonder Hastie. In landing Turnbull, however, Celtic will feel they have landed a significant glove on Rangers.
