Celtic could now lose another midfielder as well as O’Riley with Premier League club keen
Celtic are facing a battle to keep some of their best players from the clutches of the Premier League.
The Bhoys have had another fine start to the season but with their ever-impressive record comes prying eyes and it looks like a few top Celtic stars are wanted men.
Matt O’Riley is one of those players who keeps getting a mention.
Indeed, reports today have claimed Brighton have now made a bid to sign the midfielder as they look to continue their rebuild this summer.
However, it’s not just O’Riley who is wanted in England.

Leicester City keen on signing Celtic midfielder Reo Hatate
According to journalist Chris Wheatley, the Foxes are among a cluster of teams who are keen on signing Hatate this summer.
Taking to X to update the situation with Hatate, Wheatley has said that Leicester, as well as clubs in Spain and Italy, are keen on Hatate.
Hatate has been one of the key players for Celtic in recent times and played a starring role under current Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou.
He has already scored this season as well and looks like he’s not slowing down any time soon.
Premier League will appeal to Hatate
While playing for Celtic is a huge deal and the club are massive, there is no denying that the Premier League is a draw for players in Scotland.
Leicester, despite only just coming up, are likely to be able to offer a big contract on long terms which Hatate might find hard to say no to.
Likewise, the Foxes can also pay Celtic a decent fee for Hatate and sometimes, it’s hard to resist.
Hatate has been good for a few years now and was lauded as ‘amazing‘ for his performances for Japan.
Celtic, of course, will be under no immediate pressure to sell.
But it seems some of their players are really catching the eye now and that is a testament to the work going on at the club.
