Celtic attacker Scott Sinclair continues to turn up in key moments

Celtic attacker Scott Sinclair has certainly not hit the dizzy heights he is capable of this season, but he continues to turn up in the key moments.

The 29-year-old winger has come in for criticism at times over the quality of his performances and the Englishman was out of the starting XI at the beginning of the season.

But the left-winger is certainly a mainstay in the team again and is proving his worth to manager Brendan Rodgers.

The speed machine may not be terrorising full-backs like he has done in previous years with the Scottish giants, but his contribution is clear to see.

Sinclair’s header handed Celtic a vital 1-0 win over Rosenborg on Thursday night in the Europa League, which means it’s still in their own hands to qualify for the knockout rounds.

He popped up at the back post to head in the winning goal in Europe and that was without being at his very best in the contest.

Sinclair has also scored a winning goal in a 1-0 victory against Aberdeen in the league back in September and has a knack for the big moments.

He’s scored five goals across all competitions this season and it seems unlikely he can match the 25-goal return or 18-goal return of the two previous seasons.

But Sinclair’s importance is perhaps going under the radar this campaign, as he’s still a big-game player helping them win on the big stage.
